The Emerald Necklace
Inn & Tea Room is one
of Cleveland's historic treasures. It was built in 1863
during the Civil War and was operated by the Gilles family of Fairview Park
as the first
County General Store in the area. The current Innkeeper, Gloria Cipri-Kemer,
is the owner and proprietor and enjoys continually enhancing
the Inn's Victorian charm.
In keeping with
a Gilles
family tradition of hospitality to newlyweds, we give a washboard to each newlywed
couple that stays with us.
The Inn
sits at the threshold of the Cleveland Metroparks with easy
access to a multitude of outdoor activities. Just
outside the front door, a paved cycling and jogging trail
leads down to Little Met and Big Met Golf courses and to fly
fishing in the Rocky River. We are located 15 minutes from
Cleveland Hopkins Airport and we are centrally located for
touring Cleveland and all the museums.

In our fast paced high tech times, it is important to take time to

decorated in a Victorian style with many small treasures on
display for your discovery and enjoyment. There are quiet spaces
within, and the gardens are perfect for
sitting, reading or just relaxing. Two rooms
host large luxurious tubs and the other, an original cast iron
claw tub. Each room has ceiling fans, air conditioning and cozy winter fireplace heaters. Take
advantage of our on-site salon for men and women, or arrange for

Our Tea Room - Serves up to 36. Open house style events serves up to 60 people. Homemade delights await our
patrons prepared daily by our tea chef. Fresh scones, homemade soups, breads and desserts and
of course the best loose leaf tea served by the pot, steaming
hot. We also offer a wide selection of specialty teas for sale.

Check-In
and Guest Policies
All bookings and cancellations must be made through the Innkeeper, Gloria Cipri Kemer. For the safety and comfort of all of our guests, we do not allow
smoking inside. No pets permitted. No children under the age of 8.
Check in time
is from 2:00 - 6:00 pm or by
appointment. Check out is at 11:00 am - if necessary, special
arrangements may be made for late check-out. Payment in full is required to guarantee
reservations. Vehicles and a valid drivers license must be
registered upon arrival. In the event of a cancellation, a gift
certificate will be issued good for one year on any Emerald Necklace Inn
& Tea Room services.
